Dear Jane

Hello my name is Linda and I live in beautiful Ulladulla on the South Coast of NSW Australia.

In 2007 I joined a  group of ladies at  Jukejema Quilting Barn in Nowra with my sister-in-law Sharon.

I had always wanted to learn to quilt so this was a good way for me to start and make new friends who had the same interests as myself.

Our beautiful quilt teacher Carol Kinross introduced us to a quilt by the name of Dear Jane and this is how it started.

In 2008 I started to make the Dear Jane Quilt by Brenda Papadakis.

When I first saw the quilt I was blown away by the trickiness of the blocks.

I am quite new to quilting, and I found this very challenging for me.

There are 225 blocks in the quilt  including the triangles.

The meathods I am using are foundation piecing, needle turning, blanket stitch appliquing and normal piecing.

I am also using the quilting as I go method to quilt my blocks.
